Letter from our President
The San Diego Martin Luther King, Jr. Foundation has served graduating seniors from the San Diego Unified School District with scholarships, college preparatory counseling and other resources such as Scholastic Aptitude Test preparation courses. We also provide students with financial support to assist in their transition to college life, which quite often means moving far away from home. The vast majority of this work is provided through a network of volunteers and does not impact our scholarship dollars. Over the years, we have awarded over $400,000 in scholarships to inner-city youth by providing an opportunity for them to receive a college education, we recognize our job is far from done.
I look forward to our potential partnership in our effort to fulfill the dreams of a college education for many deserving students.
